Most of you have heard of the April Follies by now and know that ballroom dancing is one of the ways we can celebrate our queersness by participating in a same sex dance competition.

It is very inclusive. There are categories from absolute beginners up to people that have been dancing for years and years and different age categories to make sure you are dancing with people at the same level as you.

Can you imagine how much fun it is to be surrounded by queers from all over the world swirling and sparkling around you as you dance?

Join our intensive starting in September 2012 and immerse yourself in the International Style Waltz, Tango and Quickstep. Or decide that Latin is your style and learn Cha Cha, Samba and Jive. Or do both! We will give you routines, technique, advise you in performance energy, presentation and costuming, basically we will give you the works.

Zoe is the 2011 Californian Womens Standard champion and was North America's Womens Standard Champion for most of the past 5 years and also part of one of the top Women's Standard couples in the world. She is a seasoned competitor and understands from personal experience everything you need to know to go out on the dance floor with total confidence.
